while my heart is missing you...

He hasn't called in 3 days. It is pretty sad not being able to just call you to let you know what i am doing. I am keeping myself busy so that way i think i am just so busy with school that this is the reason why i don't see u. I don't want to realize how far apart you are from me. It will be over soon. I cannot wait to hear about the things you have been doing. (I looked for my wedding dress today. i am going to be back in 3 days to decide which one is MY DRESS), It is sad that i cannot share little things like that with u right now. =(. But pretty soon i will forever. I hope u did not forget that i wrote u letters. I hope you are reading them everyday, so that way you could feel that i am talking with you everyday. Eu te amo muito amorzinho.

In continuation of my book (hey if the guy who landed the airplane in the Hudson river can write a book, why can't I?) four AM came way, way to fast. Again I arose in a haze and walked over to the shower. I am not sure how conscious I was, but I remember turning on the shower, and turning off the shower other than that, there was some business with the soap, and possibly the shampoo as well. Us 3 headed over to the main lobby and got ready for our flight. We arrived at the airport at about 5 AM, and waited to go through security, which was actually quite stringent. Much more so than Brazil. We waited at the "gate" for about two hours, and eventually boarded an awesome single engine Cesna. It fit 12 people, and the two pilots. The flight was a short, but enjoyable ride. Because of the small size of the airplane we only reached a cruising altitude of what seemed to be a thousand feet, leaving us with a spectacular view of the land below. We then arrived in Puerto Cabeza, where we went to the local Adventist school to wait for the second plane with all of our luggage to arrive. Unfortunately, it did not arrive , and we were unable to continue our voyage to Francia Sirpi. We waited at the Adventist school for a couple hours, ate at a local restaurant, and visited the town. The food at the restaurant was very delicious, and only cost about 2.50 US! It consisted of a homemade tortilla, a special kind of cheese, beans and rice, and a side salad. It was big enough to fill me up. We then went back to the school and played a little football. After that someone suggested wrestling, and I taught them a thing or two about how to wrestle. Tonight we went to a really nice pizza restaurant and had very very good pizza.

I also met a very nice doctor and his wife down here. They are 24 and 25 years old, and are going to go to Francia with us. After the pizza, we went back to the hotel rooms that we have out here to use the internet. Unfortunately the internet is not working as well as planned, but hopefully it will be able to get a call through. Tomorrow we are planning to continue on to Francia Sirpi.

This last post was my first post, but from now on I have decided to write significantly less.

I will no longer put unnecessary sentences that serve no purpose in order to conserve space.

That is all (this is arguably an unnecessary sentence, as is this explanation).

Thank you (This too is unnecessary, why should I be thanking you?? What have you done for me?)

Today we stayed at the Best Western again, we were supposed to leave to Puerto Cabeza today, but because of the wind, we were unable to leave. Not that I am complaining, staying in a resort with internet and air-conditioning is not a bad situation! In the morning I got up at about six thirty. I heard Matt whispering quietly to Phil, "Yeah the shower only had cold water". I barely heard him whisper, as I was still half conscious, but then I was shook into the world of the awake by Phil "whispering" at a level of about 200 decibels, "O THAT SUCKS MAN". I slowly rolled out of bed, and walked towards the shower. I was taking my time, slightly dreading the thought of a cold shower. I turned on the water and felt the water. It was chilly, but not to terrible. However, by the time I got into the shower, it felt quite bearable. I waited a little more, and much to my surprise, the water heated up! Apparently the shower liked me more than it did Matt, and I got a 20 minute warm shower. I then headed over to the breakfast buffet which consisted of beans and rice, eggs, fruit, sausage, a chef cooking omelets, and fresh squeezed orange, grape and some other kind of unknown juice. Everything was delicious. I then returned to my room, and packed up all of my stuff.
I went over to the lobby and plugged in my computer and got an opportunity to wake up Katy. I talked to her for a little, and then headed over to Jeff's room to make a lunch for the flight. We then aggregated in the lobby, and headed across the street towards the airport. We picked up some water at the store at the corner, and headed into the terminal. We were going to go on a little tiny plane, where you pay for what ever weight you have onboard. Each person had to step on a scale with all their carry on baggage on them.
With my limited Spanish, I had a few conversations with the people in the terminals. I also am the official translator of the group! Haha It makes the trip very interesting as I am mostly speaking Portuguese with a Spanish accent and hoping that people will understand!

When we found out that the flight had been cancelled, we headed by to the hotel to stay another night. First we went back to the room, and watched a little bit of TV. We were all super tired, so we passed out and woke up about 3 hours later. We then made ourselves get up so we wouldn’t miss hanging out in the hotel. We went to the gym first and got our workout on. After we went to the pool, jumped in to the cold water, and promptly jumped out. After being cold every day in Nebraska matt, Phil, and I decided it was much nicer to stay warm. The weather here is very comfortable, about 70 degrees with a nice ocean breeze.

We were given 10 dollars for both lunch and dinner, and we decided to save all of our money for dinner, for the delicious mythical buffet that started at 7. We toured the airport, and hotel for a while. The airport had a food court with subway, and other restaurants. For a vege-footlong sandwich it was about 3 dollars. Though my mouth was watering the 3 (Matt, Phil, and Dan) decided to wait another 3 hours till dinner.

unfortunately as seven finally rolled around we discovered that the buffet was nothing more than a myth, and our spirits dropped just a little. the subway by now had closed. They still had a restaurant open, so we decided to eat there. Unfortunately I ended up paying 10 dollars for about 5 bites of some 4 cheese ravioli. Though it was made of delicious cheesy goodness, this entire meal would have only satisfied a baby with it's stomach stapled, for me it only tamed the beast a little.

I then got another chance to talk to my wifey (haha I said wifey) and came up with the awesome idea to start a blog (which Phil promptly copied). Even though Phil says he came up with this blog idea first, it is a lie. Just because he had been doing it days before I thought of the idea, and even though I came up with this genius idea after I saw his blog, it really was my idea.

Tomorrow we are going to go to Puerto Cabeza, but this time the flight leaves at 5 AM, so I am going to regret staying up this late
